Monty Sky Watchers is the idea of Roy Marthews, an avid amateur stargazer
with his own telescope. He would like to share his fascination with the night sky with others. If you feel you would like to take part or have ideas about what the club could do, Roy would love to hear from you.

Mission Statement.
The vision for Monty Sky Watchers Astronomy Club is to inform, educate and entertain. To be a local friendly club where the whole family can come along and participate and perhaps learn some exciting things about the universe we all inhabit.
In our monthly meetings the group will travel from the depths of deep space investigation, to exploring climate change on our own Planet. One of the group’s main aims is to create a list of interesting speakers to give talks on many Astronomical subjects.
The group aims to have activities that will potentially consist of journeys to places such as Jodrell Bank radio telescope and the Knighton Observatory plus many more out of town visits.
One thing the group would like to achieve at a later date is to have a small observatory/club house near to Montgomery, for regular meetings and observation sessions.
The group will be divided into four sections.
1. Experienced Astronomers.
2. A Group with lesser or no knowledge of Astronomy.
3. A young Adults section (14-
4. Space Kids (6-
